NOTARY PUBLIC

The library offers Notary Public service free of charge as a benefit for the residents of Lexington County.

  • Call ahead to verify a notary is available at the time.
  • Limited to three (3) documents per person, per visit.
  • Not available for marriages, deeds, mortgages, codicils or depositions.
  • Documents should be in English.
  • Valid government-issued photo identification is required for signee and witnesses.
  • Staff can’t serve as witness.
  • Notaries will record transactions in a record book.
  • Notaries will comply with S.C. Code Ann. §26-1-10 et. seq.
