Fostering stronger connections. Your library everywhere.

Community Outreach

Our outreaches encompass services such as library card registration, demonstrations of our digital resources and Pop-up Libraries that are personalized curated collections with titles available for checkout. Our team can set up information tables; host a short presentation about general library services and resources; or develop a topic-based program specifically for your audience.

Outreach Services

Event Booth

Our team is available to promote library services and resources at your next community event outdoors or indoors. This may be a Career Fair, New Employee Orientation or Health & Wellness Fair to name a few.

Request a Speaker

Our library staff is happy to present about the many exceptional services and programs we offer, tailored to your needs. Duration is typically 30-40 minutes with a Q&A to follow.

Pop-up Library

Choose a theme or topic, and we will provide a personalized collection of reading materials and media for your guests to enjoy. Check out items with your library card and share the joy of reading with your community.

Reach out to us for future collaborations, to serve the residents of Lexington County together. We value partners who work to incorporate literacy and life-long learning.

Library Tours

The library welcomes group visits and offers guided tours for organizations at all 10 of our locations. If an individual with disabilities needs reasonable accommodations or support, contact the branch.

Staff may give educational demonstrations for children including STEAM, storytelling and more. For adults, staff may demonstrate how to use digital resources like Libby and Hoopla, or how to use online resources.

Library Cards

We can register new patrons for library cards as well as renew existing cards at any community gathering. Bring photo identification and proof of residency.

Book Sharing Boxes

Book Sharing Boxes are placed in local businesses with a waiting area, (laundromats, doctors' offices, etc.) They are filled with gently used books. The best part is, they're free and you don't have to return them.
