If youโre anything like me, fur babies hold a very special place in my heart. Did you know that thereโs a distinct holiday to celebrate our pups? July 31 is National Mutt Day โ itโs a day to spoil our mixed breeds and to raise awareness for those who need a fur-ever home. Back in the 1800s, the word โmuttโ was considered to be a demeaning term that means โstupid person.โ Letโs just call them mixed breeds, because dogs are extremely smart animals.
Because dog photos are adorable, check out our library staffโs canine companions.
