There are numerous ways to support your library, from joining the local Friends of the Library group to volunteering. Another impactful avenue is through financial donations. If you’re passionate about our mission and wish to contribute even more, consider joining our team for employment. Together, we can make a significant difference.
Library lovers are invited to join their local Friends of the Library group. These dedicated volunteers advocate for libraries, raise funds, sponsor events, and host used book sales. By contributing as a library Friend, you can make a lasting impact for your library.
Library supporters are encouraged to make financial donations to the Friends of the Library or Lexington County Public Library. Honorariums may be sent to:
Lexington Main Library
5440 Augusta Road
Lexington, SC 29072
(803) 785-2600
We accept gently used books to enhance the library collection. Before taking materials to a library, contact the library for more information and to confirm what types of donations are currently being accepted.
Are you eager to lend a hand? Volunteers are needed to help organize materials and to support large programs and events. You can participate by joining the Friends or completing the volunteer application.
Teens can help at the library by shelving books, preparing crafts for children’s programs and storytimes, assisting with the summer reading program and more. Ask at your local branch for an application and additional details.
