Each year, the month of April is set aside as National Poetry Month, a time to celebrate poets and their craft. It was organized and introduced by the Academy of American Poets as a way to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry in the United States. In honor of National Poetry Month, Pelion Branch Library sponsors its annual Poetry Contest in April.
Almost everyone. We have categories for students in elementary, middle and high school as well as adults.
Elementary School Students (grades 1 – 5)
